Cocoa Beach & Port Canaveral
Thursday 3rd December 2009

Cocoa Beach is a delightful village full of boutique style shops, great restaurants and coffee shops full of character and home of the Space Coast Marathon. This was our second visit to Cocoa and nothing has changed in the 5 years since our last visit, it still has that village ambiance yet it is close to the beaches, strip malls and restaurant
chains of Cocoa Beach.
This is a great area to travel around, when you cross the bridge from Cocoa Village towards Cocoa Beach you can travel through to Port Canaveral, Kennedy Space Centre and north to Daytona. We explored Port Canaveral on a Sunday afternoon and soon found the cruise terminals and a whole world of restaurants, excursions and live entertainment.
We enjoyed a great lunch overlooking the bay listening to a live band with a Carnival and RCCL ship in the background. Kennedy Space Centre is only a short drive away and you can enjoy one of the 3 tours on offer as well as all the amazing exhibits and artifacts. Continuing north to Daytona why not make a stop at the International Speedway for a tour of the Nascar track before relaxing on one of the most famous beaches in the world.
Our advice is to jump in your car and explore, we will happily help you plan a trip with 1 or 2 overnight stays in Cocoa or Daytona to really help you make the most of your trip.
