Leaving behind the November temperatures of New Brunswick to the warm climate of Florida was a wonderful experience. Out came the shorts and t-shirt for our first trip to Orlando in 5 years. This time we spend more time in the Disney Hotels and were pleasantly suprised to find that you can easily walk between several hotels including, Disney Swan, Dolphin, Boardwalk and Disney’s Beach & Yacht Club to Epcot and Hollywood Studios. This is great if you do not want to drive and park each day and also gives you the benefits of each hotels facilities all within walking distance and of course each evening in Boardwalk you can watch the Epcot firework display free of charge.

One hotel we were particularly impressed by was the Lodge at Animal Kingdom. The lobby area is each lodge is particularly impressive giving the ambiance of an African Lodge on Safari. Rooms overlooking the grasslands area seem really peaceful and of course you have easy access to the Animal Kingdom Park.

Polynesian Hotel is another Disney property that is linked by Monorail to Magic Kingdom and you can easily walk to Grand Floridian Hotel. The contrast between these two hotels is amazing and makes for an interesting walk, from the South Seas atmosphere of Polynesian to the elegance of Grand Floridian linked by an easy walk with beaches and wonderful views all along the way.
